Julien & Sylvie:
Brand creators
Julien Vansteeger, an experienced designer with over 20 years in the eyewear industry.
Sylvie Savatdy, a seasoned project manager, form a creative and complementary duo.
"Before launching our own brand, we spent many years shaping collections and developing products for major eyewear houses with KYDJU.
ARTHOD is the fruit of our shared vision: a brand rooted in timeless elegance while embracing modernity.
Each frame is a meticulous fusion of classic design and contemporary touches: subtle details such as refined bevels and sophisticated plays of light.
We attach great importance to the choice of materials, colors, and lenses so that each element reflects our commitment to quality and aesthetic precision."
ARTHOD
finds its roots in Old French, a Jura dialect
(birthplace of global eyewear),
where it means "charismatic leader."
A name full of symbolism
The symbolism of the ARTHOD logo reflects this richness of meanings. Its strong letters, inspired by Art Deco, are a symbiosis between the graphics of the past and modern finesse.
The logo is inspired by the ancient Egyptian protective Shen symbol, evoking strength, eternity, symmetry, and perfection.
The dominant Circle represents the Sun; sunglasses add a touch of mystery and sophistication.
The horizontal Line recalls the Horizon; eyeglasses bring clarity and precision to vision.
Together, these two elements form a refined emblem, embodying the brand's mission: to merge functionality and aesthetics.
